We recently returned from a fabulous vacation to S. Africa with a great group of friends.  I highly recommend that you put this destination on your "bucket list".  It was the most amazing experience we have ever had!!   We would head out early in the cool mornings for our safaris with blankets on our laps.  We came upon a young elephant who was just learning independence and he certainly let us know who had the right-of-way on that road!   We saw lions and cubs, giraffes eating from the trees right in front of us, herds of zebras and water buffaloes.  We also visited an orphanage in Swaziland & we all volunteered to bring them food & school supplies. 
Those sweet children (with nothing) prayed for & sang beautiful songs to us.  It was a truly humbling experience.  
I could go on and on about how fantastic this trip was, but words just can't describe the awesomeness we saw & experienced.  
You will just have to experience it yourself!
